John Arrived
John arrived at the
tomb first.
It wasn’t empty but
filled with love.
John arrived at the
tomb first.
It wasn’t empty but
filled with Grace from Above.
John, the quicker,
sprinted at Mary’s word.
He, so faith filled,
believed what he heard.
He, the younger,
respected all he saw.
He, the servant,
touched not with awe.
Pete arrived at the tomb next.
It wasn’t empty but filled with love.
Pete arrived at the tomb next.
It wasn’t empty but filled with Peace from Above.
Pete, the elder, entered before the youth.
He, the wiser, knew they spoke the Truth.
He, kneeling, venerated the Holy Ground.
He, rejoicing, knew Jesus had been found.
